The Detroit Red Wings annual development camp is a time or optimism as everyone gets to see the latest crop of draft picks hit the ice for the first time along with many of the team's other prospects.
The five-day camp runs from July 7-11 at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City but it's not designed to evaluate the players. Instead, the focus is on teaching the players some of the things it takes to become a pro hockey player.
