Detroit Lions cornerback Amani Oruwariye and linebacker Jahlani Tavai may not be well-versed in hockey rules, but as budding fans of the sport, the two rookies are trying to brush up on the finer points now that they live in Hockeytown and hope to attend a Red Wings game soon.
First things first: Neither was aware of Detroit’s Hockeytown nickname or had heard of Gordie Howe or Steve Yzerman.
