NEW YORK (January 8, 2020) – Montreal Canadiens forward Nick Cousins has been fined $2,688.17, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for boarding Detroit Red Wings defenseman Mike Green during NHL Game No. 669 in Detroit on Tuesday, Jan. 7, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 12:11 of the first period. Cousins was assessed a minor penalty for cross-checking.
