That Martin Frk no longer fit into the Detroit Red Wings’ plan has been clear for nearly two months.
His apprenticeship with them is nearing the end, as the Wings placed Frk on waivers on Wednesday. If he clears, he can be sent to the minors, clearing a roster spot for the return of Tyler Bertuzzi. He is ready to return from a concussion pending clearance from medical personnel.
