Kronwalled: We remember Detroit Red Wings' Niklas Kronwall's biggest hits

The Detroit Red Wings and Niklas Kronwall announced on Tuesday that the longtime defenseman will retire at age 38.

And while he had a big hand in the last few years of the Red Wings' successful run, including the 2008 Stanley Cup championship, Kronwall's career will best be remembered for the crushing hits he handed out, especially early in his career.

It was even called getting "Kronwalled."
