DETROIT - At age 22, Dylan Larkin isn't exactly a grizzled veteran, but he also won't be the youngest Detroit Red Wing any longer.
He won't be if at least one of Michael Rasmussen (19), Filip Zadina (18), Dennis Cholowski (20) or Filip Hronek (20) earns a roster spot.
Larkin's chances of moving up in seniority look good. The Red Wings are hopeful that multiple rookies make the team.

Some of them impressed in Wednesday's preseason opener - a 3-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins at Little Caesars Arena on Rasmussen's goal at 1:32 of overtime.
