Ken Holland defied gravity in Detroit return. He fell up into better situation.

As Ken Holland walked into the media room at Little Caesars Arena, a bottle of Perrier mineral water and a remote control were waiting for him, set up on a table — just like old times.

Leslie Baker, who has worked for the Detroit Red Wings since 1981, put together the display and stuck a yellow note to the Perrier: “Reserved For Ken Holland,” with a smiley face.

It has been their pregame tradition for years, back when he was the Red Wings' general manager. Holland used to finish the water and Baker would give him a cup of hot Earl Grey tea with one packet of honey.
