Ken Holland’s tenure as general manager of the Detroit Red Wings shows a history of bold moves, some which led to Stanley Cups; others, duds.

Holland’s time with the Wings spanned 36 years, as he rose from being a goaltender in the organization to scout to manager. He is leaving the organization to be general manager of the Edmonton Oilers, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to the Free Press on Monday.
