Performances from Detroit Red Wings players were among the highlights Jeff Blashill took away from the IIHF World Championship.
Blashill returned earlier this week from Cologne, Germany, after coaching the USA to a 6-1 record in the preliminary round before falling to Finland in a quarterfinal. He has since caught a couple of Grand Rapids Griffins games during the third round of the American Hockey League playoffs.
