Jakub Kindl traded to Florida Panthers

According to the Florida Panthers, the Detroit Red Wings have traded defenseman Jakub Kindl to the Florida Panthers in exchange for a 6th round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Ansar Khan of MLive.com reported that the Red Wings will also retain 15 percent of Kindl’s salary.

Kindl played in 25 games for the Red Wings this season, accumulating 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists). He played in 273 games for the Red Wings, recording 68 points (16 goals, 52 assists).

This move came within a flurry of moves made by the Panthers in which they also acquired Teddy Purcell and Jiri Hudler.
