The Griffins had to win 3 games in a row at home to vanquish the Marlies, and last night they kept the winning going. Led by Teemu Pulkkinen's hat trick, the Griffins knocked off the IceHogs 5-3. took a 1-0 series lead.

Anthony Mantha has been in the news a lot lately, mostly as a result of Jimmy Devellano's stupid comments. It's been a (very very very?) rough rookie season for Mantha, but he came out and played better in the first ten minutes of this game than he had in any of the 1st round games, hands down.
