GRAND RAPIDS - The Grand Rapids Griffins have wins but not many goals and now that unsteady balance faces a new test with the loss of one, and maybe two top scorers.
The Griffins endured Wednesday with a 3-2 shootout win over the Texas Stars, but it may have come with a cost as Matt Puempel went out with what appeared to be a hand injury in the third period. Turner Elson also went out but he returned later in the third.
