The Detroit Red Wings had their Jan. 18 game at Philadelphia postponed by the NHL Tuesday.
It is the fifth game the Wings have had postponed because of COVID-19. The NHL is tasked with rescheduling around 100 games that have been postponed because of the pandemic.
Now on Jan. 18, instead of the Flyers hosting the Wings, they will host the Islanders, whose visit was originally for Nov. 30.
The Wings also have had the following games postponed: Dec. 20 at home against the Colorado Avalanche, Dec. 23 at the Minnesota Wild, Dec. 27 at the New York Rangers and Dec.
