Ex-Detroit Red Wings GM Ken Holland elected to Hockey Hall of Fame

The day he promoted his understudy to general manager, Jimmy Devellano predicated Ken Holland would have a tremendous run in Detroit.

Holland and the Red Wings had just celebrated their first Stanley Cup in 42 years. By the time he left the organization in May of 2019, Holland had won another three Cups. That tremendous run has led Holland to the Hockey Hall of Fame, as he was announced as part of the 2020 class Wednesday afternoon. Holland enters as a builder.

Marian Hossa, who played for the Wings in 2008-09, is also part of the class.
