TRAVERSE CITY - Evgeny Svechnikov no longer is the most talked-about Detroit Red Wings prospect. He's not even the most highly touted NHL prospect named Svechnikov.
That's what happens after a sub-par AHL season, with a significant dip in production.
But the right wing Detroit selected 19th overall in 2015 still has much promise with his combination of skills and size (6-3, 212). He is determined to rebound and compete for a spot on the NHL roster in training camp and the preseason.
