Dylan Larkin laughs at how he thought he’d be moving away from Michigan and playing for a team that was once the archival of the Detroit Red Wings.
Instead, he has built a pro career in his home state, applying lessons he learned while in high school at Waterford Mott and Ann Arbor Pioneer. It helped that Larkin knew he wanted to play collegiately, too. He was a very talented teenage athlete, but he credits success as much to hard work and having a plan.
