Dennis Cholowski brought along a special guest when the Detroit Red Wings departed for a weekend road trip.
His father John, who lives in Langley, British Columbia, joined the rookie defenseman as the team headed to Buffalo for a Saturday afternoon game. The team allows fathers and mentors to take one trip each season and chose this one, which includes a stop in Chicago on Sunday for another afternoon game.
