The Detroit Red Wings have dropped their last two games, but it wasn’t for lack of effort. Against the Washington Capitals, the Wings came out flying and sputtered late in the third period surrendering a couple of late goals costing them a 3-1 loss.

Saturday night the high flying Buffalo Sabres came into Detroit and skated to a 3-2 shootout victory.
