In the coming days, the Detroit Red Wings hope to get to know their newest teammate a bit better.
They have time to practice with forward Dmytro Timashov before hosting the Chicago Blackhawks Friday, as March begins at a much more leisurely pace than February’s crammed schedule.
Timashov has commuted from Toronto to play for the Wings now in two games since being claimed off waivers Feb. 24, but an immigration visa prevented him from coming to Detroit until Monday afternoon.
