Thomas Vanek admits to frustration, but smiles through it.
When he was re-signed this summer, it was to help the Detroit Red Wings produce more offense. Vanek has hit the 20-goal mark in four of his last six seasons, including last year, and is renowned for how creative he is with the puck.
That hasn’t yielded much in the way of points this season, but Vanek, 34, heads into Tuesday’s game at Philadelphia with a much-needed shot of confidence.
