DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings will open the regular season Oct. 5 against the Minnesota Wild (7:30 p.m.), the team announced today.
It will be the first regular season game at Little Caesars Arena.
The entire NHL schedule will be released on Thursday.
The Red Wings earlier this month released their preseason schedule, which includes four games at LCA, including the debut on Sept. 23 vs. the Boston Bruins.
