Detroit Red Wings' Niklas Kronwall reportedly says 2018-19 may be last

There is swirling concern over the future of Detroit Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg.

But it's one of the team's alternate captains who provided some clarity on his future recently.

According to NHL.com, Niklas Kronwall, entering the final year of his contract, said during the NHL European Player Media Tour in Stockholm that he doesn't see himself playing for another team and admits this could be his final season.

"If this happens to be the end of the road, I would be more than happy with the journey that I've had and more than thankful to the Ilitch family and (general manager) Kenny Holland for giving me the opportunity that I have for being able to be with the same team for my entire career," Kronwall said.
