Last season following a holdout Andreas Athanasiou started the season with a bang. He notched 17 points in 31 games for the Detroit Red Wings. Then came his usual laps in steady play. AA was only able to record 16 points in the last 40 games. He was also benched by head coach Jeff Blashill, for his lackadaisical play.
Andreas Athanasiou has a great combination of speed and skill. He should be able to go all out when a game is on the line. Athanasiou has that type of makeup. Unfortunately, Andreas can become invisible for games at a time.
