The Wings take on the Canadiens tonight at the Bell Centre (7:30, FSD). Something to note if you’re watching on TV, the Bell Centre was a big inspiration for the Wings’ under-construction Little Caesars Arena -- specifically the steepness of the stands, which creates a more intimate atmosphere.
As for the game, the Wings didn’t have a morning skate, common practice for a team that played and traveled the night before. Jimmy Howard is up in the goaltender rotation.
