The Detroit Red Wings have had quite a start to December, beating two powerhouse divisional rivals even as injuries mount.

They’re showing confidence, chemistry and character as they continue to distance themselves from a rough opening month, regularly finding ways to win. Since Oct. 27, they have not had any regulation losing streaks. They began December with their first victory in Boston in five years, and also earned a victory in Toronto, the latter with Tyler Bertuzzi suspended and with Anthony Mantha, Darren Helm, Trevor Daley and Danny DeKeyser sidelined by injuries.
