Detroit Red Wings rookie Dennis Cholowski joked he hopes Saturday’s tab at least will make his credit card points spike.
The Wings returned to work Monday, ready to build on the 8-2 stretch that’s seen them rise in the standings after a 1-7-2 start. Their next game falls Wednesday, when they host the injury riddled Boston Bruins (7:30 p.m., Fox sports Detroit-plus).
The Wings held their annual rookie dinner after rallying from a two-goal deficit to win in overtime at New Jersey.
