May figures as a busy month for Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill.
It began with having a meeting with new general manager Steve Yzerman, days after Yzerman's return from scouting the U18 World Championship.
The men’s World Championship runs May 10-26 in Bratislava and Kosice, Slovakia. It’s the third straight year Blashill is the head coach of the U.S. team, which features Wings forwards Dylan Larkin and Luke Glendening.
