Chris Chelios conceded to being the most nervous he’d been in years.
Speaking shortly before he watched his son, Jake, make his NHL debut with the Detroit Red Wings on Friday, Chelios sounded downright giddy.
“It’s great, a great opportunity for him,” Chelios told the Free Press. “It’s been a good year in Grand Rapids and it’s great to see them calling up the kids and giving them a chance.
