SAGINAW, MI - Saginaw remains Detroit Red Wings North, home of prospects dreaming of wearing the Winged Wheel.
The Saginaw Spirit Ontario Hockey League franchise isn't an official Red Wings minor league team, with draft picks from the New York Islanders, Arizona Coyotes and Minnesota Wild also filling out the roster.
This season, the Spirit feature two Detroit Red Wings prospects, forward Brady Gilmour and defenseman Reilly Webb, who were both 2017 Red Wings draft picks and will attend their second Detroit Red Wings prospect camp, Sept. 14-18, in Traverse City.
They join a list of Saginaw "Red Wings" that includes Tyler Haskins, Jan Mursak, Zack Torquato, Jake Paterson and Filip Hronek.
