DALLAS — The Red Wings return home to play New Year’s Eve, desperate for a celebration.
They are on a four-game losing streak, have lost nine of 11 games, and most recently couldn’t even take pride in something that shouldn’t lack even as key players are injured: work ethic.
“Definitely not the effort we’re looking for,” Frans Nielsen said after Saturday’s 5-1 loss to the Stars at American Airlines Center.
