The Detroit Red Wings looked better, playing with speed as they sought to redeem themselves from the previous night.
Their Saturday rematch against the New York Rangers at Little Caesars Arena was an improvement over the ineffective first 40 minutes that tarnished Friday’s outing in New York.
They played from behind starting midway through the first period, and while they did a good job getting out of their zone, Henrik Lundqvist denied all 33 shots to the tune of a 1-0 loss.
