It is still unknown whether Detroit Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg will play or retire before the 2018-19 season.
But we may know something in a few weeks.
Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill spoke to the media during Sunday's Stars & Stripes Showdown in Plymouth, the exhibition game memorializing the late USA Hockey executive Jim Johansson organized by Wings forward Dylan Larkin.
Blashill was asked about Zetterberg, 37, whose lingering back issues may be the biggest reason the longtime Wings captain will hang 'em up before the season.
"If he comes into camp and is in a spot where he's not cleared, I wouldn't plan on him for the rest of the year," Blashill said, according to ESPN.
