The Detroit Red Wings have seen enough of Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals for one season.

The Capitals defeated the Wings for the third and final time this season, scoring twice in the third period for a 3-2 victory at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday.

Ovechkin, who scored four goals in the first two victories over Detroit, assisted on Travis Boyd's tying goal with a circle-to-circle feed.
