As the Detroit Red Wings did to the Chicago Blackhawks in their home, the Blackhawks returned the favor and embarrassed the Wings at Little Caesars Arena.
The Wings were booed by fans Thursday after losing 5-1 in a game in which there was little to like for the home crowd.
When the Wings went on a power play with 5:03 to go in regulation, they had been outshot, 28-18, despite being down by four goals at the game’s midpoint. Anthony Mantha converted on the power play to avoid a shutout, but it was a rough night overall.
