Detroit Red Wings' Anthony Mantha suspended for one game at Worlds

Detroit Red Wings forward Anthony Mantha’s unsportsmanlike conduct will cost him a chance to help Canada advance at the World Championship.

The Intentional Ice Hockey Federation announced Wednesday that Mantha has been suspended one game for a hit during Tuesday’s 3-0 victory over the United States in Kosice, Slovakia. Mantha made clear contact with forward Colin White’s head during the third period, receiving a two-minute penalty and a 10-minute misconduct.
