David Perron Plans To Be A “Difference Maker”

It would appear that Steve Yzerman had seen enough.

In his third season at the helm of the Detroit Red Wings, there were a few key developments. One was the emergence of Moritz Seider and, to a slightly lesser extent, Lucas Raymond as Calder Trophy caliber players (Seider won it) and the sort of cornerstones that pull franchises out of the draft lottery.

Two was a late-season collapse that cost Jeff Blashill his job as head coach, dropped the Red Wings to the eighth-worst record in the league — and the fourth-worst goal differential.
