Chris Terry scores fastest goal ever for Grand Rapids Griffins

GRAND RAPIDS - Chris Terry executed a plan perfectly that enabled the Grand Rapids Griffins to set a record for the franchise's fastest goal.

Terry scored eight seconds into Friday's game against the Ontario Reign, snapping a shot past the stick side of goalie Charlie Williams, who moments earlier pulled down his mask to start the game.

Terry had a wide-open lane thanks to a clean faceoff win by Carter Camper, who got it back to Filip Hronek and the defenseman's saucer pass went through the crowd to the streaking Terry.

Terry, with a team-best 10 goals, said the team has tried it before.
