Cholowski And McIlrath Sent To Grand Rapids

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today assigned defensemen Dennis Cholowski and Dylan McIlrath to the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins.

Cholowski, 21, has appeared in 29 games for Detroit in 2019-20 and is tied for second among the team's defensemen in points, showing eight points (2-6-8), including five points (1-4-5) on the power play to lead Red Wings defensemen and tie for fourth on the team overall. The second-year pro has also registered four penalty minutes, 14 hits, 27 blocked shots and 43 shots on goal while averaging 19:34 time on ice.
