Yesterday, Detroit exposed several players to waivers. Today we learned that Carolina claimed Martin Frk.
Nick Jensen, Mitchell Callahan, Brian Lashoff, and Eric Tangradi all cleared waivers.
We expect them to be assigned to Grand Rapids shortly, but we will update this post when we receive confirmation.
We assume that Detroit will make the rest of their roster moves tomorrow to be compliant with the roster deadline of 5pm Tuesday.
Speaking of which, last night Jeff Blashill had this to say about Anthony Mantha and Andreas Athanasiou’s performance this pre-season:
"I didn’t think him or Double-A (forward Andreas Athanasiou) were good enough, to be honest with you," Detroit coach Jeff Blashill said bluntly.
