#RedWings have signed Anthony Mantha to a two-year contract that has a $3.3 million cap hit.
— Ansar Khan (@AnsarKhanMLive) July 11, 2018The bridge deal means Mantha, who turns 24 on Sept. 16, will still be a restricted free agent when the contract expires in 2020.
This signing leaves the Red Wings with one more important piece of business to take care before training camp—sign Dylan Larkin. Larkin also is a restricted free agent who did not have arbitration rights. But unlike Mantha, the Red Wings might sign Larkin to a long-term deal.
