Conceptually, preseason is enough to infuriate the nihilist in all of us. However, the beginning to the Detroit Pistons 2019-20 campaign is just around the corner, and, while each new season brings a level of excitement, this year’s hype feels different.
After an off season in which the Pistons front office was unexpectedly active given its financial limits, it was able to address points of concern regarding roster depth, contract burdens, and even made unexpected moves on draft night. All in all, fans were seemingly left surprised and happy, but there were a lot of questions about how it would all play out.
