In the past four years under Stan Van Gundy’s leadership, the Pistons completely revamped their roster, with Andre Drummond as the only holdover from the previous regime. Van Gundy worked quickly to bring in 3-point shooters to complement Drummond’s inside play and to try to fit his offensive scheme.
The Pistons fired Van Gundy in May and brought in Dwane Casey to usher in a new era, with the goal of returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
