Auburn Hills — Surrounded by other NBA scouts and executives, Pistons coach Dwane Casey thought he was just going through the motions. Everyone was there in Texas to watch Sekou Doumbouya work out — and by many accounts, most came away thinking that the forward would be a top talent.

At 6-foot-9 and just 18 years old, Doumbouya flashed a consistent jump shot along with good athleticism and versatility.
