SVG: Pistons’ Jackson ‘progressing’ toward return

Toronto — Monday marked two months since Reggie Jackson suffered a Grade-3 sprain in his right ankle, in a game against the Indiana Pacers.

Monday also provided an encouraging update from coach Stan Van Gundy on when Jackson might return to practice. Jackson had been ramping up his rehabilitation activities, last week advancing a stage and starting some light running, shooting and ankle-strengthening exercises.

Jackson has continued those workouts and looks to be getting closer to full-contact practices.

“He is progressing. We’re hopeful that those practices before the West Coast trip that we’ll get him back,” Van Gundy said before Monday night's game against the Toronto Raptors.
