Chicago — Luck was not on the side of the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.
Granted, the odds of the Pistons landing one of the top three spots in next month’s NBA Draft were long, to say the least, but their not having a first-round pick this season was assured when they did not land one of the first three picks in the NBA Draft Lottery.
Those spots went to: 1) the Phoenix Suns; 2) the Sacramento Kings; and 3) the Atlanta Hawks.
For the Pistons, that means no first-round pick. They dealt that spot — No.
