Spurs whip cold-shooting Pistons in preseason

Andre Drummond led the Pistons (1-1) with 18 points and 10 rebounds in 25 minutes. Henry Ellenson, starting at power forward, collected 11 points, six rebounds and three assists.

The Pistons shot only 35 percent the floor, including 26 percent from 3-point range (10-of-39).

The Spurs raced out to a 37-22 lead after one quarter and shot 56 percent for the game (46-of-82).

Stanley Johnson scored 11 points for the Pistons and rookie Bruce Brown, starting at point guard, scored five points.
