Report: Sidney Lowe joins Pistons as top assistant coach

It really says a lot about the timing of this particular #WojBomb that it’s the Australian guy breaking it, but yes, at about 3 a.m. EST, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN “tantalized” Pistons fans with this piece of news.

Washington Wizards assistant Sidney Lowe has agreed to a deal to become the top assistant to Dwane Casey with the Detroit Pistons, league source tells ESPN.

Lowe joins the Pistons after two years of mixed success in Washington under Scott Brooks. It must be noted that Lowe is the coach described as spending the most time with the guards for the Wizards, most obviously John Wall and Bradley Beal, so one might think how he will work with the young group of guards in Detroit, namely Luke Kennard, Khyri Thomas and Bruce Brown.
