An outstanding season in the G-League and strong showing in the recently completed NBA Summer League has paid off for Flint's Monte Morris.
The Denver Nuggets have rewarded the former Flint Beecher star with a three-year, $4.8 million contract, according to a tweet by Yahoo.com NBA insider Shams Charania.
Morris averaged 18 points and 6.7 assists for the Nuggets G League affiliate last season before averaging 17.3 points, 6.3 assists and 3.3 rebounds in the NBA Summer League.
Charania reported that the first two years are guaranteed, meaning Morris has a spot on the Nuggets' 15-man NBA roster through the end of the 2019-20 season.
