Raptors win an OT classic as Griffin, DeRozan wage a battle of the stars

FAST BREAKDOWN

Three quick observations from Wednesday night’s 121-119 overtime loss to the Toronto Raptors at Little Caesars Arena

1-BATTLE OF THE STARS – Blake Griffin and DeMar DeRozan refused to let the other be the hero. In overtime – after they once again took turns matching big baskets – they set up teammates to be the hero when confronted with double teams. Griffin set up Reggie Bullock for a 3-point basket with about 10 seconds to go, but he missed. The Raptors went the other way and the Pistons doubled DeRozan to force the ball out of his hands.
