Pistons to sign Warriors free agent Zaza Pachulia

Zaza Pachulia, a free-agent center who has played for the Golden State Warriors the last two seasons, has agreed to join the Detroit Pistons on a one-year contract.

A league source confirmed the deal to The Detroit News.

Yahoo Sports’ Shams Charnia, who was first to report the agreement, says the deal is worth $2.4 million.

Pachulia, 34, appeared in 69 games for the Warriors last season, averaging 14.1 minutes, 5.4 points and 4.7 rebounds. In the Warriors’ run to the NBA title, Pachulia played in seven playoff games, averaging 3.7 minutes.

Pachulia (6-11, 270 pounds) is a 15-year NBA veteran; the Pistons will be his seventh team.
